One key to surviving disasters is getting timely warnings. NOAA all-hazards weather alert radios are a good way to receive potentially life-saving notices of approaching severe weather and other hazards 24 hours a day.

IEMA and IESMA are sponsoring a contest to raise awareness of weather alert radios. The contest runs from April 22 – May 22 and is open to all Illinois residents.

To participate, click on the link below, read the narrative and take a short quiz.  Then complete the entry form and click “submit.”  A total of 100 NOAA weather alert radios will be awarded.
