Immunization Clinics

  • A variety of immunizations are provided for infants, children through age 18, and adults 19 and older.
  • Tazewell County Health Department (TCHD) has been conducting a quality improvement process to enhance service delivery.  Due to this improvement process, hours have been expanded to be more convenient for customers. 

    Effective July 18, 2016:

    Walk in Hours:

      • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday  8:00-11:00 am and 1:00-4:00 pm
      • Wednesdays 1:00-4:00 pm;
      • 2nd and 4th Mondays 8:00-11:00 am and 1:00-5:30 pm


     This will include all WIC and Clinic Services with the following exceptions:

    • No TB tests will be given on Thursdays
    • Titers will end at 3:00 daily in order to allow for lab preparation
    • STD services are by appointment only.
    • WIC is by appointment only at the North Pekin and East Peoria locations

  • TCHD bills some private insurance companies. Please contact your insurance company regarding coverage and network status of TCHD. 

  • We have contracts with and are able to bill the following insurances:

    -Blue Cross Blue Shield
    -Health Alliance
    -Health Alliance Connect
    -Healthlink Network
    -Medicare Part B** 
    -Methodist First Choice Network
    -United Healthcare (Caterpillar).

    **Covers Flu and Pneumonia only.  All other services/vaccinations will be paid by the client at time of service.

ALL children receiving immunizations at the Health Department must be accompanied by a  parent or legal guardian OR be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age AND have a signed Health Department authorization form from the parent or legal guardian. Forms are available from the Health Department. PLEASE BRING YOUR CHILD'S RECORDS WHEN YOU BRING YOUR CHILD FOR IMMUNIZATIONS.
